A new beginning
Feeling overwhelmed by you keloid scars? You’re not alone.
This site exists because I’ve spent years trying to understand my own keloid scars — how they form, how they change, and what actually helps over time. I created this space to document that journey honestly, without promises of quick fixes or guaranteed results.
Why I made this site
There are nights where I’m doing my skin routine before bed and I catch myself imagining what it would be like to wake up with no keloids at all — like they just disappeared overnight.
That never happens.
New keloids can still form, and when they do, it can feel devastating. Over time, I realized that part of coping with keloids isn’t just about treatment — it’s about expectations, patience, and learning how your own body responds.
This site is my attempt to make that process a little less isolating.
What you’ll find here
Everything shared here is based on personal experience and research, filtered through what has (and hasn’t) worked for me.
You’ll find:
– My personal keloid scar story
– Treatment approaches I’ve tried, and how they worked for me
– Realistic timelines for healing and improvement
– Daily routines and small habits that help me stay consistent
– Honest reflections on setbacks, frustration, and slow progress
I don’t believe in miracle cures. I do believe that small improvements over time can matter.
How I think about scar management
To avoid constant disappointment, I try to be realistic.
I don’t expect visible improvement in weeks. I usually tell myself I won’t see meaningful changes for at least three months, and that true healing can take anywhere from six to twelve months.
Giving my body a realistic timeline helps me mentally prepare for the long journey ahead.
Another thing that’s helped is having an “arsenal” of tools — treatments and routines I know my body responds to. Once you understand what works best for you, new scars can feel slightly less overwhelming, because you’re giving yourself the best chance possible to heal.
A note on expectations
Keloids don’t behave the same way for everyone.
What works for me may not work for you. None of the treatments discussed here are guaranteed to work, and progress is often slow and uneven. This site isn’t about perfection — it’s about persistence, patience, and learning to be kinder to yourself while your body heals.
